Paynesville Primary School is located on the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, the largest network of inland waterways in Australia. The school is situated in the town of Paynesville, a 16km scenic drive along the Mitchell River from Bairnsdale, in East Gippsland, Victoria. Paynesville, with a population of around 3,500, is also known as the boating capital of Victoria.
